£15 million bid for Melo + Adebayor to leave for £25 million and Kieren Gibbs gets improved contract, as well as Eboue situation!
Well before I start I’ve got a lot two get through. So this might take a while!
£15 million bid for Melo
According to “News of the World” and the “Daily Mirror” Arsenal have made a £15 million bid for Brazil and Fiorentina’s defensive midfield player, as I already discussed a few days earlier to this post. It is also understood though that AC Milan are interested and may place a bid to, which could definitely falter our chances.
We have heard no news from Melo’s agent or himself regarding the move so I’m not sure what to think about this.
Is it a rumors or real transfer talk? Tell me by your comments.
Adebayor to leave Arsenal
Yes this rumor has been laid bare again this time by “News of the world” who say Carlos Ancelotti (Now Chelsea Manager) will make a £25 million bid for Adebayor now his main target David Villa will not leave Valencia for them.
Any Gooner I think now would take £20 million let alone that extra £5 which they say he may offer.
In my opinion sell, sell, sell!
Kieren Gibbs Gets contract upgrade
According top various sites around the web this morning (although nothing official from Arsenal) Kieren Gibbs has been given improved contract extensions, probably meaning better pay to keep the youngster at the club. This is good news because he will be the best left back in the league in a few years, so we should do we can to keep him happy at the club.
Finally Eboue Leaving to PSG?
Well today and yesterday rumours keep coming in saying PSG will mount a bid of £5.9 million for Eboue who has stated that he is not happy at Arsenal. Although Eboue has said this:
“I’m not aware of any contact with PSG. They are a good team, however, I have a contract with Arsenal,” he told skysports.com.
“My ambition is to stay and play but because of a lack of first-team play, I’m not happy. I want to play.”
I think any gooner would take near enough £6 million for Eboue – They could take him for less in my opinion. he may be a decent replacement defender but if we buy a new Defensive midfielder Song could do that replacement job anyway.

I dont know what to make of all this: Wenger bidding for Mello, Chelski to take Ade off our hand for a juicy £25m, Smarmach wanting to come to London(off course to us, who would be foolish to choose Fulham above us?)
Too good to be true, then again I’ve been surprised before. Maybe its time to dry my tears. And about time too.

Hmmm, i wouldnt be to phased if Adebayor went to chelsea, it would confirm my doubts about his loyalty and motivation, as he was only interested in Milan, although he is friends with Ancelotti, i dont think moving to Chelsea would be an ideal move for him, 25 mill would be a mugging! We have RVP Eduardo, Bendtner, Walcott, Arshavin, Vela, all playable as strikers, yet i see more goals coming from Midfield.
If we get this Melo fella, i think that would be all the signings we need this summer, he sounds like the exact type of player we need, with him and vermaelen adding strength to the squad, and Denilson, Song, Diaby ready to play CM or DM. I still think Fabregas is at his best roaming CM, so maybe even play Rosicky as a CM, his vision and awareness is superb.
I will be content transfer wise this summer with vermaelen and if we sign Melo, or someone of that mould and experience, Not too fussed if Ade stays or goes, if he dont wanna be here, then we dont want him here!

get melo or veloso I say. Sell adebayor and eboue plus…obviously bendtner…. and get someone like chamackh or whatever and then wed have RVP, eduardo and chamakh as top strikers plus vela etc as backups.

Miguel Velosu would be a good punt, if Yaya Toure was too pricey. I would have liked us to go for Barry but I think the price Man City paid was over the top.
I think if we sign a defensive midfielder and offload Eboue, Gallas and Adebayor, I think that the rest of our squad is fine. Perhaps different cover in the right back spot for Sagna. I have the faith that if we sell Ade, then we have enough options with; RVP / Eduardo / Vela / Arshavin / Bendtner / Walcott.

Controversal players in my eyes are,gallas,eboue,denilson,bentnar& adebayer presonaly I think keep only eboue sounds crazy but trust me eboue is great cover 4 rb sagna wil not always b fit & eboue is just as gd as sagna at rb he only plays poor as cm or winger,as 4 gallas hes got experience but hes not the man 4 the job we realy ned his character out of afc + we need height along side toure,denilson not tuff enough wil b waitn years on him developing songs better choice bentnar same as denilson wil b gd sum day but no anytime soon 2 much errors then ade ends up out wide a lot doesnt no wat hes doin not got any control always cums unstuck hot n cold plus nial n the coffins is the amount we can get 4 em
