Huntelaar deal could be on for Arsenal and Senderos will be leaving…

Today has been quite a day for news stories reporting Arsenal FC; there has been transfer news, Wenger’s quote’s about various issues and stupid newspaper columnists sledging us over and over again. But let’s calm down.

News reports on Huntelaar

It has been clear knowledge for a day now that Huntelaar is not keen on a mover to Stuggart even though Real have agreed a fee. Therefore talks have stalled, the official reasoning apparently being Huntelaar wanting £60,000 a week. Whatever. He is holding out for a move to the premier league. Many papers are backing our arch enemies Tottenham to be leading the chase for him, but a few Spanish newspapers have said Arsenal have enquired about the striker as well as The Daily Mail.

Whether any of this is true is another matter, but I think it is clear that any gooner would not say no to such a quality finisher such as Huntelaar, seeming we have had no star arrivals at The Emirates since the stadium opened (exception of Arshavin which was a bit weird). I’m just hoping it’s true. But this has left the question what about the vital Defensive Midfielder we have been searching for? The Matuidi rumours appeared to have died down and no one has been mentioned since.

Wenger on Senderos

Arsene Wenger has said today that Senderos is free to leave Arsenal this summer and has his options open to where he goes:

“It’s open,” the manager said. “At the moment he is looking for solutions.

“He has many opportunities but he has to decide on his future.”

For such a unopen manager as Wenger, saying this surely means Senderos isn’t in his plans. We could also do with £5 million to invest somewhere else.

Stupid news columnists

This has really annoyed me over the past week or so; stupid newspaper journalists and fellow managers saying Arsenal will lose their top four place and that we have no money… blah blah blah you get the point.

The situation has been the same ever since we moved to the Emirates with Arsene Wenger rarely splashing any money. We have with ease kept our place and just because Man City have all the money doesn’t mean to say they will do well. Look at their pre-season. Yesterday with a star filled line up they barely beat The Kaiser Chiefs 1-0 so cmon reporters shut up and write about something decent.

Rarely splashing any cash? baught 3 players for around 40 million + improved contract, hardly rare more like regular spending

  2. eze Says:

why’s no one’s talkin about veloso either!
i’m hoping wenger loses 1 or 2 games in the pre-season so that can remind him he needs an experienced DM,

we have already conceded 3goals in 2 so far…

PS: i’m still tryna figure out wat convinced RVP 2 sign a new contract, it’s probably sumtin we don’t see.

Commitment to the club is RVP reasons. He knows he gonna play regular first team football. The fans adore him as do I. He not fussed about money as he is playing for £80k a week which is what Adebayor was on and he moaned about it and he now at city with £170k in his pocket. I weren’t too convinced on Huntelaar coming here but now i’m kinda excited on seeing if this Dutch Duo could do some damage. DM is still priorty though. I’d like to see both really. I not keen on Cana, think he fouls too much…he would get red carded too often in the Prem. I’d like to see Huntelaar and Matuidi. I think Matuidi would fit in well. These two signing and i’d be happy gunner.

  4. swolo Says:

i love him very much…..he is a good striker

  5. Ubatgoonergooner Says:

I think David Trezeguet will be a better option. He will not be that expensive, he adds experience into our young squad, our young strikers can learn from him, plus he’s 31, don’t think he’ll be eyeing for 1st eleven regularly. Wenger should get him, he’ll be eager to play in the EPL!

  6. b.b Says:

yeah, why aint pple talking bout miguel veloso.that guy is good.he can mark the ball well,as a good vision, and als; a reasonable shot accuracy.the portugese is a good bet

  7. Sergio Yaseen Says:
