Melo appears to be gone so who should Arsenal sign? Arsenal-highlights finds out..
So after a long week of Melo will sign and Melo won’t it appears now conclusively that Juve have struck a deal and Arsenal can’t financially and won’t match it. So this leaves the door open for the question who will we attempt to sign now, after our main target has moved.. I shall discuss:
Blaise Matuidi
This transfers seems to be done on the evidence of things; he is apparently in England, according to Sky Sports news and his current club St Etienne have signed Fernande’s from Man City (Central Defensive Midfielder) and appear to be looking for another defensive minded player, from Greece somewhere.Therefore seeming Wenger tried signing him last summer it appears conclusive the deal should be struck.

Is he a good signing in the circumstances?
NO. I am not saying he isn’t a good player because he is and he will be one of the best. But in our current situation we need a player who can come in and do the job without having to learn their trade. Matuidi is only 22 so lacks that vital experience we need. For the long term he would be a great signing, but in our current situation no.
Gökhan Inler
He is a solid defensive midfielder with not alot else to offer. A good player who will fill in the role we need very well. Don’t expect bombing runs and stunning long shots because you won’t get that but in our position a good signing.

Is he a good signign in our position?
Yes. If we got him he would solve the problem we have with no strings attached. Liverpool appear to be interested which doesn’t help. Whether Wenger would want to pay such a asking price is another issue though.
Lorik Cana
Srong, tall and very hard tackling CDM. Current captain of Marseille but has said publicly he is open to a move. Technically he is not the best player but it would give teams playign Arsenal the scare factor again. He is 6ft 2 and won’t shy away from anything. Maybe what we need in disguise?

Is he a good signign in our position?
Hmmm tough but I’ll say Yes. Technically he won’t give you stunning 40 yards passes through like maybe Melo would of, but there is no stronger tackler than him and he would put off any striker against him.
Miguel Veloso
A decent player but I’m not sure Wenger is a huge fan of him. He is desperate for a move but being the same type of player as Matuidi I don’t see anything materializing.

Is he a good signing in our position?
Yes. In my opinion he would be a better signing than Matuidi and would be worth the extra money. He could do the job and form a good partner ship with Cesc. He also has good technical ability, which is generally a massive plus for Wenger.
To Conlude….
Personally I would like Wenger to sign Inler seeming he fits the bill well, if not Inler I am not to sure but it’s pretty certain we are going to sign Matuidi so that leaves the other two out. Whats your opinions?

Cana Cana Cana hes what we need.we dont need a CM who will always want to go attack.we want someone who knows how to tackle and not afraid to do so.He will scare the sh.t out of players.

Actually I think that we should go for Matuidi, cheap and talented. I have a feeling that he can be our Michael Essien in the future which is great! But I also admire Lorik Cana.

Cana, every time. Matuidi is another one for the future and a back up option. Cana is the missing link in the team, he’s tall, agressive and commanding. He is the solution to Wenger’s problems and every fan knows it. Inler is good but too expensive and like Melo there is an unwillingness to come to England. Buy Cana now wenger!

Lorik Cana is a good DM but far too risky. He would be marvelous but refs would love to send him off. Another thing is we dont know what Gaffer think about him. We cant really know what the gaffer think about Cana but he is a risk. Anyone but…

I agree should go for Cana and Matuidi. Cana will aid in the progress of Song and Matuidi, making them a bit more vicious and unhesitent. Eboue can be sold, decent player but too irrational. Denilson, diaby and ramsey would backup fab, nasri and the phantom rosicky. So i dont think diaby or denilson will forfil their potential but we will have a very deep squad!!! Cana would be awsome infront of the back four or part of it.

Matuidi is maybe just a little bit better than song, diaby, denilson, but cana is a true leader. We don’t need silky skills we need something else. Cana and M. Diarra from RM and that’s that, problem sorted. Song, Denilson, Diaby, two of these go out on loan, mature and grow, become better players but at some one else’s expense.
No more messing about with this shambles of a midfield. Cana can also play cb.

give coquelin a year and we are sorted in that department of a destroyer in midfield.meanwhile what we need is another central defender and let sylvestre go.
and that gives that defender time to adjust to the arsenal team cos we all know wenger will not renew gallas’ contract.
if it’s true that we have money to buy melo @ £20m,my suggestion is get hangelande for the £10m he’s rated at and blaise matuidi @ the £10 mil he’s rated at.

we NEED!!! i stress this NEED CANA…tht is leadership…and experience in our young midfield tht have their attacking and passing techniques…so this thing about cana not being technically gifted dosnt mean a thing…its about time arsenal started to play pretty football and started to bully guys on the field too….CANA FOR ARSENAL…GUNNER 4 LIFE!
