4 reasons why Arsenal will win something this season and why the other top 4 are going down!
Hello everyone, you may be thinking where am I coming from with the headline, after the devastating loss to Manchester United on Saturday but you have to look at things in a rounded way as I shall explain below:
The Loss versus Man United
Yes firstl;y we lost the game and probably should and deserved to win it, but let’s not dwell on that.
- Man United looked like a team totally unstuck and in free play football they created no chances whatsoever. This indicates they are a team on the decline without Ronaldo, and Tevez to a further extent although he never really proved himself fully in my opinion.
- Arsenal looked very good for the first 60 minutes of the game and anywhere but Old Trafford would of meant a penalty would of been awarded to us as well as a yellow or red to Fletcher who clearly fouled Arshavin. Now I know Arshavin scored a minute later but if Fletcher had a yellow he wouldn’t of been allowed to commit all the fouls on our players throughout the second half, otherwise he would of been sent off.This shows man United weakness of not being to able to stop play properly, unlike Alex Song who had a good game.
- Although Diaby scored a wreck less own goal he showed moments of brilliance drifting past man United players like they weren’t there. With a bit of work in training on his first touch, which is terrible and learning to release the Ball slightly earlier he can be great. But that’s a big IF.
- Alex Song is looking better every game and although i don’t think he there yet he surely will be in year’s to come.
- Finally we played well versus man United without many of our start players, such as Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott and Rosicky to a lesser extent.
On the whole we are playing good football
Overall we have started the season greatly and the loss to man United should not dent our confidence too much.
We will beat Man City in two weeks and I am suew without a doubt about that. They have played mid tabled sides at the moment and a few low tabeld ones as well and have only won 1-0 every time which shows they are not all that great Wen a good side plays them they will get beat. The difference between the current top 4 and them is their manager. Mark Hughes is not a good enough manager to win them the league. Simple.
Our players are improving
This season all our younger players have improved massively and look like they just may be able to hold themselves sup in the league.:
- Ramsey will have his breakthrough season and start to re pay his £5 million cost!
- Song will show his toughness in CDM
- Vermaelen and Gallas have shown the Arsenal back line how to defend and we look very good in that department, although i would like to see one more signing there.
- Our forward line is great and our strikers will start scoring. Trust me.
- When everyone forgets about Eduardo diving, there will be when another incident with Drogba or Rooney that happens putting his story to sleep. Then he will start scoring for fun again.
- Bendtner is looking like a footballer! Sorry to put it that blandly but his touch has improved, his passing is better and we are yet to see his finishing but I’m sure that has been addressed too!
With one or two more signings in the next day and a bit we will win something!
There is 1 day and 8 hours left before the transfer window shuts as I type this and I think Wenger will make at least 2 signings before the window shuts.
- I do not believe he will bring Back Viera with Song performing so well because it is against his beliefs and strategies, so I’m 90% sure to rule that one out.
- I think he will offer the extra bit of money for Chamakh and he will go because Bordeaux want some money and not nothing.
- I believe and desperately hope that Wenger will sign Van Der Vaart from Real Madrid for around £6.5 million. He would be a shock buy but he could provide that extra zip in the midfield we lack when Fabregas and other players who regularly get injured are out.

With all the players we have in midfield how can you possibly expect him to sign van der vaart.

I agree van der vaert would be a brilliant signing. Thing is we have nasri coming back, and maybe even rosicky who can do the fabregas job very well, so I dont know how necessary a new playmaker would be.
I think we need either vieira or matuidi, or another tackling CM, cos when song goes AFC we might be in trouble, and in the meantime if gallas or vermaelen gets injured, we’ll need to be able to move song back to CB

Wenger must either buy a goalkeeper or promote fabianski. Almunia will never win us matches and his command of the penalty area is simply nadir

All we need is a DM and CB since we are challenging 4 about 4 trophies. It’s safe 2 av quality replacements for the first 11. Guns 4 eva

almunia is good!! buy van der vaart- great pl;ayer for arsenal sort of money i.e cheap…. chamakh would be good too- we dont have enough strikers at the min unless walcott plays as striker. GUNNERS FOR PREM!!!

Regarding buying Van Der Vaart. We have plenty of creative midfielders (Diaby (training to be a DM potentially though), Fabregas (injured), Nasri (injured) and Rosicky (injured). In addition we have Wilshere and Merida. So the question is really whether Van Der Vaart is better than our cuurent crop. Apart from his most recent stint in Spain, he has had an awesome career, but has been blighted by continuous injury which could be a concern.
The only reason i can see Wenger buying Van Der Vaart is if Wenger is calling time on Rosicky. Love him as a player, but there is a real risk he wont get back to full fitness anytime soon. He is already 18 months out and counting. In addition, who knows when Nasri will be back. The Arsenal players do struggle to come back from Injury. If he doesnt buy Van Der Vaart, then he will have to place reliance on Wilshere and Merida which I am not sure he will do.

this thing about too many midfielders…RUBBISH!!…vander vaart will give us another option when or injury plague midfield starts acting up…chamakh will be a good signing…hope we get him today, as for viera…YES!…even if song is playing very good at the moment viera can help us recouperate from losses such as the manu game his experience can only help arsenal be stronger mentally which is our downfal on the field!…nervous player sout there man…manu had no way of coming back and they did because we showed them a way…lets go wenger…UP GUNNERS!

i think Arsene wanted to buy a player especially MChamak bt look his contract is ending soon thats why there was no need of extra yet the lad promised to wait.
Abt the midfield Arsene will promote Fran and am sure Tomas will be available this time around and if Song goes AFNC we shall use Diaby with Denilson and as usual we shall sighn one or two players in Jan otherwise we are ok all we need are the refs change their way of officiating and begin to like a flowing game. Gunner forever.
