Abt the midfield Arsene will promote Fran and am sure Tomas will be available this time around and if Song goes AFNC we shall use Diaby with Denilson and as usual we shall sighn one or two players in Jan 2010 otherwise we are ok all we need are the refs change their way of officiating matches and begin to like a flowing game and perhaps increasing their chancesof officiating in WC . We have plenty of creative midfielders (Diaby (training to be a DM potentially though), Fabregas (injured), Nasri (injured) and Rosicky (injured). In addition we have Wilshere and Merida. So the question is really whether Van Der Vaart is better than our cuurent crop. Apart from his most recent stint in Spain, he has had an awesome career, but has been blighted by continuous injury which could be a concern. The only reason i can see Wenger buying Van Der Vaart is if Wenger is calling time on Rosicky. Love him as a player, but there is a real risk he wont get back to full fitness anytime soon. He is already 18 months out and counting. In addition, who knows when Nasri will be back. The Arsenal players do struggle to come back from Injury.
