Arsenal transfer dealings that could shock us on deadline day!
Hi everyone hope you’ve had good weeks up to this point and will be looking forward to the Celtic game tonight to probably see a few young guns in action.
But what has caught my eye today is a few journalists predicting Arsenal to be in action on transfer deadline day and throughout the week prior to it, I’ll explain:
The Dail Mirror’s Football Spy
From his insider knowledge or it could be what he just made up he is predicting 2 Arsenal moves in the last week of the transfer window:
Blaise Matuidi
This story has ran for ages and you all know who he is by now so I won’t bother with huge details but he’s a Defenesive Midfielder with a great talent. This is what “The Football Spy” has to say
With captain Cesc Fabregas an injury concern for Arsene Wenger, the Gunners bosswill redouble his efforts to land this French U-21 international, dubbed ‘the new Makele’, as his stand-in.
Football Spy verdict: The man to provide the silk to the Gunners’ steel.
Rafael van der Varrt
Now that could be a good signing! If we could get this Dutch international for around £6 million that would be grab of the season! A player if wanted by Real Madrid worth at least £12 million after they payed Hamburg £17 million only last season.
Following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Xabi Alonso, the Dutch playmaker has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu. That may allow Arsene Wenger to launch an audacious bid for the former Ajax star who will be keen to justify his selection for Holland ahead of next summer’s 2010 World Cup.
Football Spy verdict: Every deadline day needs its surprise deal – and this could well be it.
And one of my predictions…
In my opinion we could see former target Marouane Chamkh maybe become an Arsenal player. Bordeaux will not want to hold on to a player who they know will leave for free at the end of the season and may just finally offer him for a price which is acceptable to Wenger, as Chamkah has turned down West Ham because he knows he can join us next year for free. Maybe we could land him for around £6.5 million, but to be honest I would prefer Van der Varrt!

Bordeaux really are stupid vlauing a player at £15 million on his last contracted year, when his real value anyway is only about £8 million!
My Predicted score for the Celtic game is 4-0 to The Arsenal!
