I can tell you exactly what will happen next season. Take a look…

Hello people, I am still feeling bad over our loss to Man City yesterday and this has left me thinking about our current situation as a whole. I have already, a few weeks ago voiced my feelings over Wenger and how he should of and needed buy, and how he didn’t so today I am going to tell you what will be of Arsenal next year, so read on:

The overall result of this season when it ends:

In the league we will finish fourth with either Man City or Liverpool being a close 5th. I believe Chelsea will win and Man Utd to be second as they always kick on about 2 months into the season.

We will win either the Carling cup or FA  Cup this year but the Champions League will evade us when we get knocked out in the Semi’s to an English club or Barcelona.

Overall then a one season trophy where in the league we will fail again along with the Champions League.

So what will happen at the end of the campaign?

Wenger will still be in charge and will be preaching over how youth has worked for Arsenal and we have won one trophy in 5 years, which is not good enough. Consequently rather than buy some desperately needed players, he will sell Fabregas because Fabregas will want to leave to a good team like Barca and not buy a replacement because he will believe Merida can step up.

Then rather than buy a CB he will bring in Bartley from the youth team who will be to clumsy and Nordveit a year to early for in premier league.

Wenger will buy one player in the transfer market and say he has everything Arsenal have been lacking over the past year then again the season will not work due to to many youth players.

The current squad players now will not have improved that much (Denilson, Diaby and Song) although Wenger will keep defending his players until he realises 2 or 3 year to late that they were not good enough and they will be sold. He will bring in more youth and the cycle of 4 years trophiliess will continue again.

Happy? Cos I’m not, so the quicker someone kicks Wenger into buying someone rather than running the whole club on a youth cycle the betetr it will be.

Take a look at Man Utd’s youth system…

Firstly before you comment on this section I understand that Man Utd uy players for far to much like (Berbatov) who does occasionally well and that’s why they win alot but, Look at their youth system.

Players like Darron Gibson who is good is not rushed into the side at 18, 19 or 20 but is steadily given a few games a season at the age of 21 then by the age of 24 he will be a regular and be one of the top midfielders in the world. Also their defender Evans has played a few games along with their Brazilian left back. But none of their youth players are brought in as first team members at the age of 18, unlike Arsenal’s.

Therefore their players in the first squad are all good and old enough with tons of experience to win trophies and titles. With Arsenal’s system of average players (Denilson) being brought in to young, then played constantly we have no chance of winning.

Who wants this to continue? Not me.

The Solution

There are 3 options and I Hope but doubt it is number 3:

1 – Sack Wenger at the end of the season if we remain trophyless after another poor premier league season.

2- Make sure Wenger is forced to buy players

3- Sincerely hope this post is aload of rubbish and Arsenal go on to be the best team ever.

yesterday i had a dream that on the emirates stadium there is wriiten the years when arsenal won a trophy or more yesterday i saw the year 2010 next to 2005 really hope that’s true and to be honest a carling cup trophy is useless we want the premier league or the champions league your post we will get a lot of stick but maybe just maybe you are right but there is only one thing that let’s me think positive ARSENE WENGER COACHED THE INVINCIBLES HE KNEW HOW BRILLIANT THEY WERE I’M NOT SAYING OUR TEAM IS AS GOOD NO TEAM WILL EVER BE THAT GOOD BUT IF WENGER DIDN’T BUY BECAUSE HE KNOWS HIS SIDE ARE GOOD THEN I TRUST HIM

  2. eze Says:

arsenal is not winning any trophy this season, the closest we are is he carling cup, we can win the champion league if no 1 is injured, we buy a DM in jan and we dont meet an english team in the knock-out stages (and wat r the chances of that).
the future isnt lookin too bright, we lost 2 matches to the first two real opponents we met in the league, manutd has beaten arsenal, spurs n are well on their way to beating mancity next week, if they do i reckon they just might win the league again, if we cant beat these top teams, wat make u think we can win FA cup or even the carling cup?

its goin to b another trophyless season gunners, but lets hope i am wrong and like last season after mancity beat us 3-0 we go on a 21 game unbeaten streak

  3. Simon Says:

Nice post. You will probably be right that we will finish 4th again but I don’t believe we will win a trophy except possibly the Carling Cup. Our squad simply has no depth and we have a midfield of mostly babies and softies.

Arsene Wenger is doing exactly what the Board want him to do and will never get sacked as long as we finish in the top four. He has an economic agenda to develop youth and sell at a nice profit. The board love him for that. He is the perfect man to manage a big club with a huge debt during an economic recession.

Any business that doesn’t reinvest in it’s capital properly will struggle, and that’s exactly what is happening to us but Wenger is an economist and the conservative board love him.

Our only hope of winning major trophies is for Wenger to leave and a new top class European Manager comes in who appreciates and understands the need for better balance between youth and experience and isn’t afraid to invest properly in the transfer market.

WELL!!!…..those 2 matches i thought arsenal played damn good football!…we are scoring!….we defend quite well at times…so wats the problem??…CONFIDENCE!!!!…THE ONLY THING BEATING ARSENAL NOW IS CONFIDENCE!…come on gunners! u can do it!! i want the league trophy!…we can win it!…in WENGER I TRUST!… I HOPE ADE gets wat he deserves…van persie said it!…NO CLASS!…

I am from South Africa and have been supporting Arsenal for over 40 years. Arsene Wenger is a good coach and has done tremendously well since he came to the club. However, i do agree with you that he should have bougth more experienced players to blend with the youth. The next player to be sold should be Eboue.
Four painful years without a trophy, then have you heard of the 7 year bad luck. If you are correct in this article then we will only win our first trophy after 7 years.

Ure absolutely ryt abt the Man utd perfect youth system .. tats how it shud be .. perhaps a bit sooner is also not a prob .. bring them in at 22 or 23 into first team ..tats how it shud be .. tats why Man utd are so succesfull..But the average age of our team was 22 at some point last season .. tats not gud .. Wen will Wenger realise tat.. N if he buys one or two players more every year we’ll be the best team in the world n Wenger the best manager .. Wen will tat day come .. The titles .. Gunner for life!!!

  7. the animal Says:

Dude…whatever you say i think we all love the club for its transfer policy as much as we love it for the superb game we get to witness….Agreed we should have bought atleast an experienced CM …but why the Doomsday prophecy??

You should turn into a Man City fan TODAY..

That way you don’t have to cry like the sissy that you are…

4 years is bad but it is not as bad as you keep crying about…

Wenger has bought us into the top 4 … He has been our best manager since Chapman…i wouldn’t want him to leave until he has finished his project and cleared our debt…how much ever time that takes…

What we lack his confidence in our ability and belief in our squad…and you bloggers are moulding public opinion to solidify a lack of belief in our ability..

  8. RaS_GoOneR Says:

Sad to say but.. Arsenal Fc is not for Us (the Fans)

This club is there to groom youngsters and sell them off making huge profits. in other words just making money for the owners, but nothing for us to cheer about…

theres clubs who spend… even if it means to make there fans appreciated that the club is trying.

even though we have money, top players want to play for us, yet we wont ever spend as long as we get in top 4 that’l do for the owners.

  9. AfricanGunner Says:

What makes anyone think if AW is fired the replacement will be allowed to buy ? It’s all part of the board’s plan, as long as the current board is in place nothing is going to change. PERIOD.
I don’t blame AW though, he doesn’t have final say how funds are used – instead of blaming AW take the complaints to the board.

  10. Phil Says:

Very astute except for the comment on K Bartley. I see him as the next Mr Arsenal and have watched the first 2 reserves games where he’s been established as captain. Faultless and majestic. I know what you mean about his defending last year, but his ditribution this year is absolutley stunning, especially long crossfield balls – the best and most consistent I have ever seen from a centre half – worthy of the best MF.
And as far as MF – Coquelin is on fire
Come to Barnet and check it out – I am going again tonight
