In my opinion, the biggest mistake for us this season is not bringing in Felipe Melo. He is strong, dont take no shi** from anyone, his tall, and a real hard nut, which is something we lack in the middle of the park, the sort of player that can sit in front of the defence and would let the opposition know of his presence.
Not to forget, he can also score and pick our beautiful through balls.

Song is a good player, don't get me wrong, and although he seems to be getting better and better, I don't think he will have that real, 'Arsenal Class'.

Our defence seems better from last season, but Clichy needs to stop getting too far forward, or if he does, he needs to be on his toes to get back to his position when we lose the ball. We have Vermaelen, who can shoot, and can header, so if any1 should be going forward, it should be him, at least that way Song can drop back and cover.

I agree with you on two points:

1. Silvestre and Senderos not being good enough back-up. Maybe Campbell could suffice as a short term solution. But I would prefer we get a versatile defender who could play anywhere across the back-line and who is under 30.

2. On Vieira. Im not too sure about bringing him back. However, I would much prefer he comes to us than go to Chelsea. Im not even gonna mention Spurs. We need an experienced CDM again preferably under 30.

Theres only one last thing to say: "Theres only one Arsene Wenger"

For the CB, I think Stevn Taylor from Newcastle will be a great addition. He might not be tall but has the experience and is good in the air. For the DM position, so many names have been mentioned but nothing has transpired. There are no new names being touted, apart from Viera. I still think, Stephen Appiah can be a great addition.
